Christian Saunders
Christian’s passion is providing a safe and secure environment for people struggling with obstacles that seem to have no answers. Christian specializes in children, adolescents, and adults by offering a holistic approach to reconnect to our bodies as well as develop new habits in place of ones that no longer serve us. Christian believes our personality is based on a continuum which is forever changing and evolving to fit our environment in order to survive. In therapy we move from a state of survival to a state of creation by reconnecting to our true selves and/or our inner child to express healing.
Oftentimes we are overwhelmed, worried, stressed, confused, and/or conflicted within relationships, old habits/behaviors as well as complicated life transitions that seem to block us in creating solutions or moving on. Within our therapy sessions we will collaborate through challenging and processing your thoughts and emotions in order to develop solutions and gain self-awareness to make adjustments and informed decisions.
Christian’s training in DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Gestalt, and person centered approach can help develop new skills to manage emotions, distress, and the resilience to overcome obstacles. Every session information is gathered in order to fit your needs through various techniques to understand your concerns.
Christian graduated with his Masters in Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado. Christian’s background involves working with children and adolescents in various settings across the world for the past 10 years. With his cultural background and experience believes connection is the most important asset to counseling and the healing process.
