In therapy, Kira encourages self-reflection, new perspectives & processing life’s difficulties with understanding & validation. This process relieves suffering & frees clients to move forward with more confidence & resilience.
Kira became a therapist based on her natural sense of empathy and a strong desire to help others. She believes self-awareness, compassion and willingness are the most essential variables in personal growth. Her ultimate goal is for people to leave her office feeling validated, worthy and better equipped to navigate every day human challenges.
Kira offers a combination of tools from Acceptance-based, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical &Cognitive Behavioral methods. She is flexible in her therapeutic approach and tailors her sessions based upon a mutual agreement of what best suits her client’s needs.
Kira received her Masters in Social Work, with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience at The Ohio State University in 2013. She has worked as a generalist treating a multitude of mental health conditions with Veterans at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs for nearly a decade.
